Hungary is opposed and will continue to oppose the Rosia Montana proposal, declares Hungary’s Prime Minister
Today, on 21 October 2008 Romania’s Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tarciceanu and his Hungarian counterpart Ferenc Gyurcsany met in the Hungarian town of Szeged for bilateral meetings on subjects such as economy, education, medical services and environmental protection.
According to news posted on the Hungarian Government’s website, its Prime Minister today made the following declarations during the Szeged bilateral meetings:
“Hungary is continuously opposed to the Rosia Montana mine proposal,” declared Gyurcsany Ferenc, Hungary’s Prime Minister.
“We will continue to oppose this investment,” underlined the Hungarian Prime Minister.
“The court battle about the Rosia Montana mine project is extremely relieving news for us,” underlined Gyurcsany Ferenc, Hungary’s Prime Minister.
